Rachael Lyall joined the Stony Brook Department of Athletics in August of 2007 as the Coordinator of Business Operations.

Lyall came to Stony Brook from the America East Conference office where she worked for two years. She started there as the conference Business Manager/Assistant to the Commissioner before moving into the role of Assistant Director of Championships and Sports Administration. Among her duties was responsibility of daily budget oversight, management and monitoring of conference funds, National Letter of Intent Coordinator and the conference's annual meeting coordinator.

A 2005 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Maine with a BS in business administration, Lyall was a four-year letterwinner for the Black Bears in field hockey. A two-time All-America East selection, she was a Maine Scholar Athlete Gold Medalist and was named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll.

A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Lyall attended Upper Perkiomen High School where she lettered in field hockey, basketball, softball and lacrosse.
