Three Seawolves Place at ECAC Outdoor Championships
May 19, 2008 Princeton, N.J. - Stony Brook's track and field team had three runners place within the top-15 at the ECAC Outdoor Championships this weekend at Princeton University. Freshman Holly Van Dalen (Wanganui, New Zealand) completed the 3,000-meter event in a time of 9:43.29, which was good enough for fourth place. She finished just ten seconds behind the winner, Emily Anderson from William & Mary. Senior Dana Hastie (Wellington, New Zealand) also competed in the 3,000-meter, finishing four spots behind Van Dalen, in a time 9:51.40. Also placing for the Seawolves was sophomore Laura Huet (Carrickmines, Ireland), who took 13th in the 5,000-meter event with a time of 17:24.87. The next meet for Stony Brook will be the NCAA Regional Championships on May 30th in Tallahassee, Fla.
